1979 run Westside Model Co. imported model built by Nakamura in Japan. Box shows minimal shelf wear. Spare parts, boiler weights, booster truck, and brake detail all included. Model has issues as follows:
- Motor is too small for the 1:1 drive and the model will not rotate/run on track
- Rear engine, Fireman's side valve guide is missing
- One tiny dent in the Engineer's side of the whaleback style tender
- Airhoses are missing or broken off from tender
The motor/drive issues are well documented with these models. It will require a new motor and possibly two new gearboxes to run. We would rate this C-7 Excellent if the drive was functional. It is being sold AS-IS and would make a great candidate for Boo-Rim gearboxes. This is still a harder to find and very coveted model as it is one of only 300 imported.
