1978 ALCO Models imported model built by Kumata in Japan. Box shows light shelf wear with foam replaced with bubblewrap. Spare parts and Alco models Inc. Paperwork describing the model are included. Very nice paint work - Pro Painted custom work on all 3 pieces. (see photos). Minimal decal film showing. No window glazing. This is the General Electric GETL (Gas Electric Turbine Locomotive) 8500HP 3 Unit turbine. These engines were built in 1958-1960. Retired by the UP in 1968-69. This is a fantastic set. ready to run. Note: The driveline has been rebuilt on the A-unit using NWSL parts as the original rubber driveshafts failed.
