1983 run Overland Models, Inc. Imported model built by Ajin in Korea. Original box shows almost no wear. Box label is a mis-print. It reads "TE70-45". It should read "TE70-4s." No spare parts included. Glazing installed. Represents road numbers 7030 - 7033, however painted for No. 7031. Without dynamic brakes. The M-K TE70-4S was a GE U25b rebuilt in 1978 by M-K with a 2,800 horsepower Sulzer V-12 prime mover. The main generator and the traction motors from the U25b were retained. A total of 4 were rebuilt for the Southern Pacific. Tank drive version. A quiet and smooth runner, it is a solid example of this model, with minimal signs of use. A harder to find model, as only 50 of the unpainted version were imported, while the number that OMI had "Custom Painted OMI" is unknown.
