The last of the heralded EMD GP (General Purpose) series, tracing it's heritage to the GP7/9 of the post World War II era, the GP60 was the also most powerful with 3,800 horsepower coming from its 16 cylinder 710G3 prime mover. They were produced from October, 1985 (Demo Nos. 5-7) through January, 1994. A total of 380 units were built (including GP60's, GP60M's and GP60B's). Limited Edition - Serial number 17 of 51.
