1982 run ALCO Models imported model built by Samhongsa in Korea. Box shows virtually no wear with original foam Spare parts included. Three of the U-50-B's were delivered to the Union Pacific in October, 1963 for testing the UP were sufficiently satisfied with these locomotive and ordered 20 more, 12 delivered between July and September, 1964. The rest were delivered between May and August, 1965. The first twenty were traded in to GE for U30C's between 1973 and 1974. The others survived until being struck from the U.P.'s roster in 1977. Three cracked gears have been replaced with Northwest Short Line parts - now a quiet and smooth running model that shows evidence of minimal use.
